1. About ValueMeals

ValueMeals is operated by Ehsan Al Twal. It is an independent browser extension that helps users compare meals available through Uber Eats. ValueMeals is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Uber Technologies, Inc. or its affiliates.

2. Information the extension accesses

To provide its core functionality, ValueMeals may access:

• Delivery-location information: the location saved by Uber Eats, such as an address reference and approximate latitude/longitude, so nearby restaurants can be requested.
• Uber Eats session information: session cookies and login-state signals. ValueMeals checks whether relevant cookies exist; your browser attaches the cookies to authenticated requests made directly to Uber Eats on your behalf. ValueMeals does not receive your Uber Eats password.
• Restaurant and menu information: names, menu items, prices, promotions, fees, availability, and related data returned for your selected delivery area.
• Extension preferences: selected filters, cached scan results, and payment-entitlement status needed to operate the extension.
• Search terms: dish names you enter in the extension so matching Uber Eats menu items can be requested and ranked.

3. How information is used

ValueMeals uses this information only to:

• find restaurants and menus for your selected delivery area;
• estimate meal value and rank matching items;
• remember your filter and search settings and temporarily cache results;
• open a selected result on Uber Eats; and
• verify access to ValueMeals Pro.

ValueMeals does not sell personal information or use Uber Eats session information for advertising, credit decisions, or unrelated profiling.

4. Storage and retention

Scan results are stored locally in your browser and normally expire after approximately 15 minutes. You can clear the scan cache from the extension. Your selected filter and last search term remain stored locally until changed, cleared, or the extension is removed.

When you accept the extension’s first-run notice, ValueMeals stores a local consent record containing the acceptance time, applicable policy and disclosure versions, extension version, and the choices you accepted. This record remains in your browser until extension data is cleared, the extension is removed, or it is replaced after a later notice.

ValueMeals does not maintain its own remote database of your delivery location, Uber Eats session, or menu scans.

5. Service providers and third parties

The extension interacts with the following services:

• Uber Eats: restaurant, menu, location, and ordering functionality is provided by Uber Eats under its own terms and privacy policy. ValueMeals sends your saved delivery-location reference and dish searches to Uber Eats only when needed to perform a scan, search, refresh, or open a result.
• ExtensionPay: verifies paid access and provides subscription-management pages. ExtensionPay may process an email address and account identifiers under its own privacy policy.
• Stripe: processes payment details for ExtensionPay. ValueMeals does not receive or store complete card details.
• Google Chrome: provides extension storage, permissions, and distribution through the Chrome Web Store.

6. Browser permissions

• Storage: saves preferences, scan cache, and entitlement state.
• Cookies: reads the Uber Eats location and session signals required for nearby results.
• Scripting and Uber Eats host access: communicates with an open Uber Eats page and opens selected menu items.

Access is limited to what is necessary to provide the extension’s user-facing features.

7. Limited Use

ValueMeals’s use and transfer of information received through Chrome complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

We use browser data only to provide and improve the user-facing features described in this policy. We do not sell browser data, use it for advertising, use it to determine creditworthiness or lending, or transfer it except as necessary to provide the requested feature, comply with law, address security or abuse, or as part of a business transaction with appropriate notice and safeguards.

Humans do not read your browser data except with your affirmative permission for a specific support or security purpose, when required by law, or when the data has been aggregated and anonymized for internal operations.

8. Consent and your choices

Before ValueMeals performs its first scan or search, the extension presents a prominent data-use notice and asks for your affirmative agreement. If you do not agree, ValueMeals will not run its scanning features.

You may:

• decline the notice and close the extension;
• clear cached scan and search data from the extension;
• remove the extension to revoke its browser access and clear extension storage;
• manage or cancel a Pro subscription through the payment page; or
• contact us with a privacy or deletion request.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical measures, including local processing and restricted browser permissions, to limit exposure of user data. However, no software or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

10. Children

ValueMeals is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Policy changes

We may update this policy as the extension changes. The effective date above will be updated when material revisions are published.
